2014 was an Amazing Year! Despite a few setbacks, I accomplished everything I set out to do and more!!! 2015 is off to an awesome start! I’ve made a few resolutions for this year, but those are for another post 😉
Updates and MS Goodies
My very first Paranormal Romance made it to the formatter before (woohooo!!!) the January 1st deadline and I can’t wait to share the final product with you. Of Blood and Lust is a novella that will appear in an anthology to benefit The National Autism Association and will be out soon. The story started out one way, then took a whole different direction, and the possibilities for more are endless.
While brainstorming for this story, I pulled the old laptop (the one missing the ‘F’ key, and now also the ‘F5’ key) out of storage, just to see what was on it. The original MS for Shattered Dreams was typed on that antique, and I knew there were a few other stories I was kicking around on there somewhere. Not only did I find what I was looking for, there were also two nearly complete manuscripts and a finished HR! The first MS is a children’s rhyming story that I wrote for my youngest daughter when she was home schooled. It was just a fun way to teach her about different things- the states, continents, colors etc. If we decide to publish, it will probably be illustrated by The Hooligans. The second MS is a darker contemporary centered around a Mexican cartel leader. It doesn’t have a name or even a cover concept, but reading through it certainly sparks a few ideas. The story feels pretty good where it’s at, so it will more than likely get sent to the editor and then to some Betas in the next few weeks.
Shattered Lies is not quite where it needs to be yet. Does that ever happen to you? You think you have the story where it needs to be, but the more you read it, the more it feels like something is missing. That is kind of where we’re at with SL. So until ALL the Betas are happy, we’re going to hold off on the release.
My TBR List just got EPIC!
Santa brought The Hooligans laptops for Christmas. My oldest daughter, who is almost 12, was so excited, she couldn’t wait to start using her’s. She said, “I want to write a book too!” How cool is that??? Well, it gets better! She’s finished writing it!!! She said she wants to read through it a couple more times, “like you do”, before she lets anyone else read it. But she did tell me the book is called “Chasing Waterfalls” and it’s a funny story about “You, Uncle Chris and Aunt Niki.” The Man and I are both very excited to read it and I can officially say that Chasing Waterfalls is the first book on my 2015 TBR List. She’s asked for Mommy’s help to get it published, so BOLO!!!

Consolation is a spin off of Beloved and Beholden, which are now the 2nd and 3rd official books on my 2015 TBR List and Consolation, #4 on the TBR, will be out in March!
